A complete RFQ reduces wrong machine quotes, missing options, unrealistic speed assumptions and rework after engineering review.
What the project must solve
A first inquiry does not need a finished engineering specification. Identify the product, package, destination country and contact, and mark unknown details rather than delaying contact.
Suppliers cannot compare output or filling accuracy when the RFQ omits the SKU, commercial packaging material, measurement method or operating conditions.
A machine-only quote may exclude feeding, inspection, change parts and downstream handling. Define who supplies each interface before comparing totals.
Buyer analysis
Separate must-have acceptance criteria from preferences
State product, package, output, accuracy, seal and compliance requirements as measurable obligations. List optional features separately so quotations remain comparable.
Attach evidence, not only descriptions
Product, film, pouch, carton and finished-pack samples reveal geometry and behavior that a written RFQ misses. Include videos of upstream and downstream processes.
Use a two-stage RFQ instead of making first contact difficult
The first message can contain contact details, country, product and package photos, with unknowns clearly marked. Use the engineering follow-up to freeze SKU dimensions, fill range, accepted-output targets, materials and interfaces. Photos support the initial discussion; commercial product and packaging samples may still be needed for fit and performance commitments. Agree any physical sample shipment separately.
Make one SKU worksheet and one scope schedule
For each SKU record product, fill target, package drawing, material structure, batch size and required accepted packs per shift. For each module record included, optional, buyer-supplied or excluded, plus the interface owner. Record utility conditions, cleaning constraints and inspection requirements alongside the relevant module. This separates a comparable proposal from a list of unrelated machine features.
Turn missing information into a written action list
Ask the supplier to identify assumptions, compatibility risks, sample checks and documents needed for the next decision. Assign unresolved product, material or interface questions to an owner. A budgetary quotation should stay labeled budgetary until those assumptions are reviewed. Keep confidential production data in the direct inquiry rather than adding it to public website content.
Recommended machine paths
Granule Premade Bag Packing Machine
A rotary premade bag packing machine for granules, tea, coffee, frozen products and other flowable goods packed in finished stand-up, zipper or shaped pouches.
Electronic Scale Granule VFFS Packing Machine
A roll-film vertical form fill seal machine paired with electronic weighing for puffed food, fruit, candy, biscuits, frozen food, melon seeds, roasted nuts and similar granules.
Automatic Carton Case Packing Line
A carton case packing line that can combine automatic box opening, automatic sealing, automatic packaging equipment and conveyors for unmanned downstream operation.
Brochure-grounded capability references
The rows below connect Packaging Machine RFQ Checklist to published machine ranges and stated applications. Use them for shortlisting only; final output, accuracy and package quality require testing with the actual product, package material and line conditions.
Specification signals to confirm
RFQ checklist for this page
Start with contact details, destination country, product and package photos or drawings; note which details are still unknown.
Add a SKU list with fill targets, dimensions and current or required accepted packs per shift when available.
List included equipment, buyer-supplied equipment, optional modules and interface owners separately.
Share sample availability and trial objectives before arranging any shipment of product or packaging material.
Request a written assumptions list, exclusions and the evidence needed to convert the initial scope into a firm proposal.
From evidence to a machine decision
Capture the evidence that changes the decision
Start with contact details, destination country, product and package photos or drawings; note which details are still unknown. Add a SKU list with fill targets, dimensions and current or required accepted packs per shift when available.

Lock the acceptance test before price comparison
Set acceptance criteria for Packaging Machine RFQ Checklist: usable output, accuracy, seal quality, reject logic, utilities, sample tests and documentation. Compare price only after suppliers accept the same test basis.
